The stops seem to be like our grammatical concepts of . ? !

I’ve found the easiest thing to do is

  1. type out your message as you normally would
  2. type out “: :oort_”
  3. cut/copy : :oort_
  4. paste between all the letters and replacing the spaces with oort_space
