The Deluxe Edition gives you +10% plot bonus, so every 300 cubits you spend on plots you get 110% of 10 = 11 plots. It also works retroactively, the game knows how many plots you should have without the bonus, then calculates the total plot amount using the plot bonus added.
Early Access backers tho also got a plot bonus. Adventurer backer level is +10% as well and stacks with the Deluxe Edition bonus, so then you get 12 plots for every 300 cubits spend.
There were many different backer levels, the highest one, Oortian, actually gives you +200% plot bonus and it stacks with Deluxe as well, so every 300 cubits nets you 31 (!) plots…
It’s how people can take over Biitula, ehhh, planets…
Then there’s no risk at all anymore! I don’t think there’s a law for that. And most certainly not in all the countries in the world.
You’re basically an investor, they are trying to get funding for something and you invest in them. That you get something in return as well is just the newer part that Kickstarter and co have added basically. If it flops you lost your money…
Many cases out there of people who feel cheated out of their backer money after a project didn’t go through.
If you want to play it safe, do not back a crowd funding…
P2W stands for pay 2 win, yes, but it has started to mean more than just the literal meaning of the words. Just see it as ‘pay for an advantage’. Having a higher plot bonus is an advantage in Boundless wouldn’t you say? Not having to fuel your beacons with Gleam Club is as well. Having tools and weapons others do not is too, etc., etc.
