Gold where are you! = Suggestions?

I have been searching all the places for gold so them i can start doing warps but no luck.

Any suggestions or where to find it?..does its like the cooper but more yellow?

They’re mostly found in lower to mid levels such as the underground caves in the desert biome. Strip mining is inefficient as far as I know so just keep on looking around the surface of the caves or sides of the mountain.

Follow any coal or ore vein for a chance to find some rares.

Found some in a mountain i tunneled, about 100-110 altitude.

I have trouble with the colors of the ores…some of them look very similar. that pic above looks like iron to me, did it look more yellow in game?

Go to the desert and search for visible resources at the high cliffs and deep caves, maybe u r lucky to find gold but if u dont: coal.copper.iron.silver to find a gold source nearby. Try to mine out a good chunk of the hill/cave at the said resources and its only a matter of time and luck to find gold. U can try it at the icy biome too.

It looks more cubic than iron and copper and yes it is more light yellow than copper

They are yellow when you see them, all i found has been baked with iron coal and copper.
Following some of these veins and i found it.

All i found have been at 90 to 110 height.

Hey, I was wondering, is this “coal” you’re talking about or “soft coal”? Because so far, following “soft coal” got me to no where :frowning:

I found yesterday the three hundreds of Soft Coal, few Tech Fragments and a little pack of Small Fossils, but no one metal ore. I explored deep cavern with altitude 30-70 under the mountain on Therka. Where I need to search metals? Is it still in deserts?

I’m in Solum and I’ve been finding pockets of gold here and there. Maybe I just found a good spot but I’ve found it in two different mountains now.

Desert mountains and glacier capped mountains seem to both yield good amounts of gold.

I’ve been having lots of luck with silver and gold right around the lava pools. I just walk and grapple around and usually find at least 5 ores around each pool, and a couple dozen in an entire cave. I’ve also been tripping over all the hard coal down there.

Bring lots of gravel to stand on and to keep your ores from falling in the fiery pits of death!

Resources spawning has been changed since this topic last entries and it makes it somehow outdated.

I have found a decent amount of gold since the resource update. Where I found it was caves deep in the desert.

All of the ring worlds have good amounts of silver and gold, Vulpto SEEMS to have the most

All the starter planets range between and 123,791 and 143,853, so you really want to stick to moons and ring worlds.
