GUI: Closer look at styled GUI Elements (updating post)

Here’s a closer look at the icon palette that will be used within the Boundless GUI. There’s still plenty more to fill out and readability to work on, but this should give you an idea of the style and how it’ll feel. (I’ll try to keep this thread up to date over the week as I work on different bits)

Here’s a look at how we might render these in the GUI. Simple solid shapes with some chiselled depth:

These are awesome; they really seem to fit the style of boundless! Some are pretty abstract, but I suspect they’ll be more meaningful in context :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s especially fun to make wild guesses w/o context, though:

i like the icons, they looks fine and they are simple.

icons look like…

we get a questlog or a to do list ?

profession - alchemie ?

look like we get some ingame statistic (i hope it XD)

chat and sound ^^

a bomb ? ^^

Awesome! One of my favorite things to hear about when it comes to devlog art is GUI, so it’s good to see another post for that. I’ll add this image to the devlog collection.

We have a design for this, it’s quite important. We’ll share more in the future.

Joking a side, though I’m not sure if I’m allowed to leak this information, but this symbol:
is actually my guilds symbol, Super cereal guild of sirius oortians.

I think you really captured the essence of the guild in this symbol really well @ben, thank you.
