so they were coded already and prolly still in game datas? Titan and Hunter?

titans were the floating structures - half living thing half machine if I recall correctly

on your screenshots the one before hunter is probably a ground basher

I might be wrong in more than one thing here

Combine this video with the Ryegames video on dead games and you get the complete history lesson.

What did the Bashers do?

Amazing how much stuff exists but still isn’t in the game… And whoever animated the creatures in Boundless did such an amazing job.

they bashed the ground

they had that way of fighting where they would smash the ground with both fists; I wouldn’t be surprised if there was an area damage effect to that, so even if you didn’t stand right under its fists, it would deal damage to you (scaled down with distance of course)
would be so cool to see that in game - maybe also a stagger/fall effect with a new animation for our poor oortians

then there was the rock-eating worm…

According to James and Leah, the data is all still there. But a lot of the EA data was not compatible with the updated engine.
Which is why the 3 original races became one…

They had to rebuild the model basically. There were plans to redo the old ones but obviously that fell apart…

At 2:25 You’ll see the basher and their signature attack.

I guess that’s exactly what I mean the new engine removed much of that data

And we won’t ever see an update for this game forever
