Introducing the PS Planet Explorer

It’s back up now. Refresh and give it a moment as it can take a while to render the first time. Could take up to 60s (I’m working on this).

I can’t find my planet on that, it’s called EVIL YECAJ
Am I doing something wrong?
I’m PS4 btw

May need a scan from @Soju-VB

Still broken on iPhone
Won’t load

It shows up for me (PC), it just doesn’t show the color list - I think they have to visit your planet to get that info.

This is the selection criteria I used to see it:

I make a lot of concrete, would it be possible to add gravel and sand to the selectable blocks of the quick filter screen (binoculars icon)?

I found that turning off my wifi it worked fine on my iPhone :man_shrugging:t2:

It’s currently working on my wife’s iPhone and on my android phone

:weary: le sad
I tried over LTE and in safari vs chrome too

I use chrome

Can you try opening it in an incognito window?

No difference. Good thought though. That’s why I tried safari too.

Does it no longer have a progress counter? Originally it would start at (1/597) Or whatever then count up as it loads

Did you remove that? Or am I not even getting to that stage.

It no longer has it. Angellus changed the way I have to load the app so that it loads all 15MB of world data up front with a single request as opposed to making 1000 tiny requests.

Is there anywhere in chrome mobile to set maximum cache size or size per domain? Can’t find it.

Are you almost out of space on your iphone by chance? Browser cache size is calculated as a % of your available memory space.

Nah, 8 gigs free space.

I did check and chrome is using 1 gig for some sort of files but I can’t figure out where to delete them. Conceivably related. I did clear cache of course. Obviously it isn’t cookies given incognito and safari tests.

Weird.

I just did a test through an iphone 6 emulator and it did take a solid 2.5 minutes for it to load (without any cache). Once it loads, subsequent loads will be MUCH faster.

I’ve added the following new features to the Planet Explorer:

  1. Added sorting by gem %! I’ll be adding other resource types shortly but for now, you can sort by all six gem types. Simply click the sort icon in the top-left and choose what you want to sort by.
  2. Added a loading spinner for a few operations including when the page is initially loading in order to give some visual feedback to the user.
