You are very sweet, thank you!
You put a lot of effort into bringing people to this game - and you saved an entire town. I think that’s amazing. You are truly a kind soul.
Yes, I can definitely get a little spicy/passionate when needed.

Great point. Didn’t think about that. As i just bought the conduits. When I didn’t have the power to make them.
But it also defeats the purpose of the frequent note “solo” player and a problem with hand outs.
As portal hubs technically are hand outs to, from one player to an other to freely use their portals.
On that point try warping to a higher planet without coin.
I can safely say I didn’t mine anything substantial until I was at least level 40+ (I’m 99% of the time a solo player)
I did a LOT of gathering which I enjoyed far more than my slow pace mining, and I made lots of Cs selling my materials. I used the Cs to buy my power coils etc and now I can mine stupidly fast with my latest skill page
So I have to disagree that this forces anyone to quit
Thanks, appreciate it so much!! And I too can get a little fiery at times haha - particularly when I see an injustice being done!
You aren’t the only one😉
What really ought to solve this for both people who like it as it is, and people who don’t, is to not change anything about the gameplay at all. Instead, we need better, quicker access to the economy where you can just go to a machine, look up the thing you want, and then buy it.
People who like the game as is get to keep it that way, and purely solo players get the benefit of not having to actually interact with people, their maze-like eyesore of a build or the tedium of shops that are empty. For them, it would be like playing a single player game and interacting with an NPC to buy / sell stuff.
So make a lot of shops useless.
I completely agree that the economy needs lot of work and the game toolsets behind it. The economy should not be a required component in solo play. Access to high tier items actually breaks progression pretty severely.
With all due respect, it is very short sighted and will be very bad for the game to not change the game play and work to improve it. It is very clear and obvious that there are issues with progression in the game for solo people and even small guilds and we lost people for that.
A few searches in this forum shows plenty of complaints on the following:
If there was no friction and just easy work at lower/mid-tier and ignoring the issue of losing their Builds people would not be so vocal and passionate about not allowing a game wipe.
I get people have views on each side of this discussion and very many valid points. But from where I stand it seems that many people forgot what it was like 9-11 months ago. They are using the game situation currently as a crutch to things and not putting themselves in the full perspective of a new user that maybe is trying to play solo or doesn’t have tons of money to buy items. This is the same problem we had in EA. I completely understand why it happens because it is very hard to see past the reality we do face with the current portal access and shops.
Why does this make shops useless? You still need the item, you might not want to travel all over the universe to find it so you might pick the closest shop versus the cheapest. Some shops might not have what you need at the time you need it so you go to someone that does. You may need enough of something to have to go to more than one shop to get enough. But at least you are not Wasting time going all over the place to see if someone has something and price checking to make sure you are getting a fair price.
If the implement it like a order system (like shopping online) sure thats fine but if it gets implemented like item comes out of thin air the price should be very high. Otherwise there isn’t any point for a unspecialized shop to keep its doors open like an exchange. People go there to get coin and get materials but if it’s easier to get the materials out of thin air why bother making the trip. Because that is what will happen with a system like that.
Why does it matter if they make the trip? An exchange suggestion does not create items. Whether the player turns up in person or acquires it through an interface it’s still being sold by the vendor, and purchased by the buyer.
What difference does it make to you if they visit your shop or buy remotely?
The point whas if it comes out of thin air
Oh, if that was the case then I’d have agreed with you too. That would’ve been bad for the game
No, I would think someone still has to make it price it and put it on a sales stand. Otherwise it is a creative mode game
For what it’s worth it would be nice to know exactly where I need to go to find an item on sale. The only problem is footfall still gives a ton of coin compared to the meager dailies.
I’d really rather daily activity coin awards be boosted significantly and footfall reduced so as to reward active gameplay instead of passivity
But in this topic the “order system” won’t work either.
As previously pointed out shops didn’t fit in solo play either.
Use portal hubs and check out their shops. Come to antar don’t know for shure but quimbie is selling them for 1000
If there are still coils left
Ult to antar last Portal on your right.
It’s a fair point, but there has to be compromise somewhere.
This at least lets solo players play ‘as if’ they were solo, without seeking out other people’s builds or interacting with them.
Or use portals seekers, hubbit (new terra), tnt to antar and the find me Temmoky/Temmeky/mokey and ill take you there. The only one near the portals.
