Is tiers system truly necessary?

Well, tiered worlds is a allready a decision made by the devs, so live with it

well it is fair to bring up that you are displeased with a suggested system, nothing is set in stone, its more the argument that bothers me though xD

I like the idea of tiers if only provide more challenging content for those whom desire it. Everything else is fluff to me.

fluff? 10 chars

I simply mean that whatever else, besides more challenging content, is involved in the tiers beyond being more challenging is not that important me.

Ah. i really like the system, some people say they should be able to be given everything while not working up your character, that every world should be available for tier 1 players, but isnt going through the tiers also its own reward? the feeling of seeing different and beautiful worlds as opposed to only seeing the same thing.

I wonder how many people that played MC never went to the Nether world. I would be willing to wager the the vast majority never even fought the dragon. That is what I predict here too. As the tiers evolve many won’t go as long there is plenty to explore and build where they are. However, many will for the challenge, the story or the additional content. I am sure we both will.

I would think that you start at the center, then work your way out into the darkness.

its actually usually the other way around, because in these type of games the entire mystery, the answer to the universe, is located at the center.

I see. It’s just seems that the further from the center, where the light is, the darker and more mysterious it gets. But yeah, since the center is the apex of the universe, then it’s gotta have some mystery.

Dear Zouls! I see, you like gaming in online games, but you don’t have lot of knowledge about our world. Why are you allow yourself sarcastic criticism to a side of another participators?

Stop it, please. Talk only a thoughtful opinion about topic’s subject.

Let’s second try. First of all:

Two kind of enthropy damage is: damage of chaos and damage of order.

  • Power of chaos is linearly increases from center to edge of Ooverse. It’s works equally good at all of creatures.
  • Power of order is quadratically decreases from center to edge of Ooverse. It’s work better, if creature poisoned by chaos (dependent by [ distance_from_center x time / (time + 1) ], cannot be decreased).

Then you portals, you get damage from order and chaos. You can pay additional charge to prevent this damage. This additional charge is equal to damage you want prevent. If you cannot prevent deathly damage, you cannot portaling (or find oneself to a random place without inventory content).
If you want traveling, you need earn moneys so as to endure resettlement.

Leveling of players not give him lot of health, but give skills to use item (tools, weapons, armors) better, than before.

Different resources (like a minerals, ores, stones, sources) lead in different regions of Ooverse. If players want use all of this, they must trading between thyself. Are you remember, that transportation is expensive?

I think, it will be working. @ben, what are you think about it?

so no progression, when you go through portals you go to more difficult worlds WHICH IS TIERS, just dont look at it like they are predetermined tiers, they are just called tiers by the races because they know they are harder.

right now you are nitpicking on details, except the never getting better part which is something completely different than talking about tiers.

I can CAPS too. I have two topics now: nitpicking to you and discussion of subject. Here ends the first.

Seriously, ranging worlds over difficulty is good, but separating it over tiers - absurdly, how I mean. Without tiers, all what you need for going to more harder worlds - lot of money. If you rich, who will stop you from dying among wild beasts?
And so I think else: peaceful colony with powerful guards can be in Very_Hard_World. Why you cannot tour or trading there, if your tier not enough for this world?

And last at today.
Two worlds is. First have two kind of animals: small mouses and huge bears. Second have another two kind of animals: cowardly hyenas and wolfs. Whose tier is bigger?

well i guess i just cant follow your logic.

but please know, the rich people in games are not the fighters, its the traders and crafters

Absolutely. Fighters can build way to edge of Universe by corpses of foe. But crafters on the contrary.

so just instead of having to kill titans to unlock more worlds you want a system that makes people pay gold to go through?

What if I want have achieve “Peaceful citizen: murdered no more ten creatures”?
What for the sake we need relation between huge titan’s killing and new world’s reaching? If you are a beggarly fighter - go and kill titans for loot and money. This money will help you to open a new world. Perhaps I am wrong?

if you want to be a peaceful citizen you can just chill around on the tier 1 worlds, nothing wrong with that

But i start to see the problem, you want to be able to go to every world without even working yourself up because you dont play the game for killing, but that is kinda the point, a reward for becoming better, a reward for killing the ultimate creatures is seeing new and amazing worlds.

so you plan to just stay in cities and never explore or kill anything? that sounds kinda boring but you should be free to do so

Yes, I should be free to do so, even if I not intend do so. You’re right, it really sounds boring.

However, I hope this game will not renamed to Oort “KillThemAll” Online. And even tier system will be realized… If reward will giving at Titan’s Heart, not at fact of killing, some crafters could have buy this Heart or could book Titan’s killing.
