If they go to lower tier, it should be in low quantities, enough for newbies to fuel small portals, but not enough for more experienced players, we dont wan’t old players with pies, brews and AoE tools ruining the game for newbies. I’ve seen that heppen in other games and it’s awful
sigh That’s a legit concern. People are jerks.
Then it would be difficult for new players to find and mine as well. The balance issue IS a thing. The way they managed so far is to make it so on lower tier worlds, only 1 of whatever drops from the seam, and as you increase the tier, that drop number also increases til its max.
I remember all the posts about iron seams being jard to find for awhile
When I started I used to get tons of copper and no iron.
Now I need to buy copper lol
I just want noobs involved faster. What holds people in a game is feeling of accomplishment or power. As it is, real accomplishment really doesn’t start happening to around level 20 and you NEVER feel powerful in this game.
By the time they get to lvl10-ish, they should start to feel like they are the shnizz so they have incentive to stay…instead of the game being a constant struggle to keep your head above water.
I think it won’t be much of an issue, they gonna be mine-able from Tier 8 exoworld. So in theory they will be rare occasion to mine them. It just depend how the distribution will be on the planet. I do not think it will hurt hunting at all.
It just gonna give another option for late game player to get some extra oort or for the ones who don’t like to hunt.
That would be useless. If that’s the case, don’t even bother.
I think it’s awesome! Now if we could only mine Adrenal glands…
Nah, animal farming is what we need! Did you know that runners have 2 glands and that if you remove 1 they will grow it back? Of course one grows back a little faster than the other, am sure there’s some special food we can give feed them to try to hurry it up a little!
(yes, am just fantasising, but it kinda fits the current crop farming mechanics, hehehe)
Tho I would also be for an extra recipe like we have with the kranuts and saltpetre, a way we need LESS of the glands or a way to completely replace them, ie. artificial adrenal glands or something…
And ehhh, we need to be able to grow beans too!!
You’ve been told this???
If they are exo only I would prefer from T7 and up because then they can release it next week
I need my oortz!!
I would agree if the Oort is only I’m able on exo planets then it is not worth the effort to put it in. If you are already on t8 exo then you can handle hunting or have access to rare materials that already can be mined on those exo planets that are not available elsewhere.
I mean, it is listed by the devs as an MMO… It is kind of what’s expected.
Even if there are people who are the exception regardless, they’re sadly people who tend to leave because of the ‘grind’ or ‘wanting to play without any other players at all’, not even seen.
Trying to do that in a game like Guild Wars 2 or, for a more popular example, World of Warcraft, and you’d end up being unable to do raids, dungeons, or use the auction house at all.
Sure it isn’t the exact same comparison, but you get the idea. You can’t cater well to both solo and co-op players at the same time typically, as making it easy for solo, makes the co-op part a breeze in quite a few cases I’ve seen.
Many players that I’ve seen quit, came thinking this is Minecraft 2
Minecraft 2!
For real though, that’s kinda sad. Everyone knows that’s going to be Hytale, if it ends up being good.
I think they made it so it would be better to interact with others and buy the items you dont want to take the time to craft. Which helps the economy. I can see what you are saying, but think the devs want people to interact, buy and sell vs make everything quickly.
And I came from the other side thinking it would be like a wow or final fantasy online within a mincraft/voxel creative world.
It’s a struggle for everyone I think, because we all hoped for something different in the game.

yes, am just fantasising
You fantasize about keeping roadrunners hostage and perpetually torturing them? Lol what you describe sounds not like milking a cow but cutting off its nipples, letting them grow back then cutting them off again perpetually. The poor roadrunners!
I guess the oortage is really getting to people huh

It’s a struggle for everyone I think, because we all hoped for something different in the game.
I play both types of games (several that were mentioned specifically) and I’m not struggling with any expectations I like that BL is different.
I like your positivity @majorvex always reminds me it’s just a game.
I do like playing boundless a lot, maybe I should switch my viewpoint. Time to think
If I had only played mainly one type of game, I might look at things a little differently. I try to keep an open mind when I’m playing a new game. It seems like we must be seeking a new/different experience if we decide to try a new game. Otherwise, we’d keep playing the same ole game(s) that we were.
This is also why I tend to prefer to play games vanilla without mods, so that I can experience & savior it the way the game makers had envisioned it. (There are a few that verify & encourage useful mods - I use those)

I guess the oortage is really getting to people huh
Ehh, nothing to do with oort tho, everything with adrenal glandage
