Portal block textures on a block you can chisel and build with maybe with a little higher glow. Also maybe some lighting kind of like the spark links. Maybe made from gleam it would kind of work like neon lighting.
And diagonal signs!
Yes please I love this, I believe Fire mentioned something less extensive above and I’ve also talked about it a few times already. I believe that the lattice chisels work on a 24x24x24 grid and I would love to turn each little pixel on and off at will.
Also I would love it if we could make custom block textures that we can share, perhaps even sell in game for coins. They could add a new machine which applies textures to an existing block, could even transparently let the original texture shine thru, but of course that should be an option
Hmm what if we could use portal/warp blocks with gleam in a workbench to make versions we could chisel. And the color of the glow would come from the gleam!
That sounds like a good idea.
This would help a lot because I really want to make some unique architecture, but I cant because real arch work and diagonal or rounded blocks are not possible. A lot of real buildings and interesting architecture uses angles and I would really like to see this customizable block ability on micro block level.
I really want to see “filler” blocks, mostly so I can do part one material and part the other material, for things like smooth diagonal walkways and such. Maybe a special tool you load with a SS of blocks, and it will fill in the gaps of any chiseled blocks (that you can then further chisel down with the same type chisel, so a half slope block would fill with another half slope and you can use slope chisel to chisel each part further.)
Tbh I’d prefer this was a skin/layer/effect that could be added to ANY block using a chisel or something similar. That way you don’t have 50 million blocks to store but still have the design possibilities.
For example you smack any block with a “worn down” chisel and it adds cracks to the texture and even could change the displayed shape slightly pulling the texture in towards the cracks.
Mossy could be implemented in a similar fashion, where moss is added much like grass onto dirt but only covers it partially
I recall reading others talking about a decal feature that would fit this, though I suspect that may have been scrapped. I think that would be a decent way to implement the idea, though.
I couldn’t say for sure but I would expect that nothing has been “scrapped” from the list they have. It would be more of a priority and the amount of time it takes to do it. If they supported the idea at one point or showed examples then they would probably still consider it.
Alphabet blocks :D. Planet blocks, like atlases but square and set into place like a block. Some way to mash more than one color of stones into brick batter and have the colors show up as swirls or some other easy pattern for the brick.
Like blocks of air but functional solids for the assembly and chiselling part?
In Fallen London, mirrors are portals
i remember talking about this a while ago, a 2x1/1x2 wedge shape would give us worlds of potential in sculpting that we truly need, especially when it gives us an opportunity to make sword sculptures and other awesome options going forward.
As for other block types, i think we need a combustion press machine that takes metal and punches patterns into it without the need for a consumable intermediary to make, it would essentially be a fusion of the refinery and compactor(orange machine) and take spark instead of items to make metal patterns.
I’ve probably said this elsewhere but I really want a cylindrical block to make columns. Poles and lattice are too narrow.
Most versatile would probably be that each hit with the chisel rounds one corner but doesn’t change the radius.
Or just give me a planar or lathe so I can make my blocks into cylinders.
Maybe just adding machine like sawmill etc Where you could put x amount of Block thats turned into different shapes. Like round. Stripped and stuff

DK i cant seem to PM you wanted to talk to you about a shop. sorry about the public msg
Looks like one chisel would be able to do this depending on which face you hit
Not sure of this has been said already- im sure it has in some way- but the ability to chisel half of a sloped block vertically. Like this, imagine the sloped side facing you, now cut that in half down the middle. That would be nice! A vertical half-block that has been slope chiselled.
