Plot protection abuse

Building on higher tier would be fun, but we would need a way to ward off monsters, too annoying really. My first build is on alnitans and I still find myself dieing to monsters randomly. Wish there were warding machines you could place around and fuel to keep monsters from spawning. Like sonic stuff or something

For some reason it just seems that the low tier lush planets ended up with some beautiful colors & flat landscapes that lend well to most builds. It’s less wear and tear on tools to landscape/build, less critters to worry about, no atmospheric protection required…I guess there are several reasons to build there over higher tier planets. I had a places on Alcyon &Nokry for awhile and then changed my mind. The high tier planets are excellent for resources tho.

It would be cool if we could enable a force field via our beacon, guild buff, or something. I had a store on Kada a long time ago and got rid of it…I was soooo tired of spitters hitting me and my visitors - I could have used a force field there for sure lol

We should all take a breath and calm down. :heartpulse:.

The craziest thing about ALL of this is, if everyone just followed the “don’t be an a-hole” rule, (which happens to be my guilds one and only rule”… we wouldn’t even need beacon protections.

:heartpulse::heartpulse::heartpulse:

Edited to add suggestions:

  1. In game moderators. But this HAS to be cross-platform.

  2. Follow a protocol. a. Attempt to communicate. b. Never retaliate. 3. Screenshots d. Proof of intentional wrongdoing. (Sometimes the plots themselves are enough proof.)

  3. Don’t be greedy. Do you REALLY NEED to plot 1000 plots out?

  4. Don’t be judge. Just because YOU don’t like a platform near you, don’t be a bad host and completely surround someone. Be a good neighbor…

  5. Ask yourself…” can I just go the other way?.”

One time, this guy built a horrible tower of moulde right next to my first shop location. I hated it. I reported the beacon (from the beacon) and nothing was ever done. So, I just built around it, and ended up with a cool shop in spite of it. One day I logged in and the tower was gone.

That’s my two cents. :heartpulse:

Yeah, low tier is best for building I think, unless some type of defenses are provided in the game. Would be really cool if i could make a castle or something on higher tier with defenses

that would cost the devs money vs just building a system otherwise if its a player mod team they would have to be people with 0 past or current guild affiliations.

It might cost money, but truthfully the PS4 community and the PC community are not able to communicate in game effectively. Not all PS4 players use Discord at all, let alone to chat. I think it’s possible that the modding could be unfair because of it.

This goes in line with your statement regarding guild affiliation…which I disagree, no offense. I think the right people could look at situations objectively… and in this respective your point about PS4 Mods being a cost issue… the PC mods would need the same objectivity in order to be fair.

We just need a better PM system that’s more like email, doesn’t disappear if you don’t read it before logging out, etc. Then if they add a way to PM players without the need of those mailboxes this issue is solved…

Edit:
Yeah so private planets that are still online. Literally a small planet that you can determine the atmosphere, type and tier of how you want it. The best thing is you have a master control to whom can plot on your planet. You can evict a player and their plots if certain requirements are met. Chat history may be recorded to use if someone was duped into moving there and then kicked to take their stuff. I could see some very bad cases. You would only want to build on your friends planets that you trust. Oh and how about like how you can grant director in the guild book that is irreversible, you can do that for planetary ownership?

I would love to cut, copy and paste my city on a new planet that only I can give perms for anyone to plot on!

I think if someone is kicked or blacklisted, their stuff should go with them.

It would also be nice to have access to activity/log history so guild leaders & rental planet owners can see who did what. You can’t prevent everyone from doing something heinous, but you can block them from doing it a 2nd time.

I think we should just have are own worlds like we can buy or rent monthly like gleam club and you can pick what size world small, medium, large or just one size and people can pick who they want on their world so all this plotting stuff can stop being annoying just a thought

I really like the mmo aspect of the game and would love to see that grow and improve as well.

I just hope we don’t get yet another Hammy Fist solution, like scrapping plot protection. If you can improve it, improve it but don’t throw in the towel now that we have come to expect this system.

Oh my thoughts exactly if I were to get into the Coc of the private planets. It would make it easier to determine if someone got played.

If they do add more planets, I’d suggest waiting for the Oort ore to arrive, because we need all we can scourge up right now.

If posts aren’t about the plot protection system then I’m closing the thread.

Meanwhile in Axon we build these style roads complete with bridges etc. I think we need some differentiation between empty stuff and ours

James, the previous post you flagged is Unfair as it is ON topic. Earlier in the thread they wanted to remove plot buffers for roads such as mine 3 plots wide… 100% on topic. there is a big difference between a plotted field and this. Our roads are entitled to plot protections…removing our protections would be abuse
