Plot protection abuse

Those are all Districts of Axon…they retain their individuality even with signs etc…but they are as much a part of Axon as any other. Axon is everywhere lol

right Buugi, the thing is the game’s definition of a road is one plot wide and these spaghetti plotting is mostly these 1 plot lines running back and forth. Others with an anti-road agenda want to confuse the community by lobbing the abuse of the spaghetti into all roads of all sizes no matter what their intended purpose is. In my opinion this has become a political football.

Time to evacuate… pushes the wipe button

Axon is 20,558 plots… lol we are going no where.

I think you are putting everyone in a box here and being a little bit unfair. I think most people want legit, logical solutions to these issues that effect us all. Not just “road people” or “anti-road people”. I am pro-roads, if they make sense or have a purpose - but I don’t go around looking for them or judging whether or not they should exist.

I think the OP misunderstood the purpose of the plotting that they had concerns about. It probably would have helped if they would have sought out the creators of that project - they would have discovered that was initial perimeter plotting…so to speak…for a large community effort/build/project.

I think the game needs to do some work on it’s plotting system. I was looking through some threads before everything was wiped in EA…literally found the same arguments and fights that we see now. :slightly_frowning_face:

I was referring to the vocal minority…its only a couple people…not a huge segment

That’s…not really relevant to the topic, though.

Right now, ‘roads’ of 1-wide can exert reservations, but in the next update, they have to be 2 plots or more wide to do so.

I use it myself, but not greedily; I just know what I’ll need to complete my project, so I’ve been trying to mark the island I’m on.
Don’t need any bigger, so I’ve restricted myself to only go for it.

Sadly, I’m only slowly getting plots, and I’m honestly nervous about the next update making people able to plot in between said roads, making my build impossible. :pensive:

right but the post by RiscX up above shows one of the champion’s of the “nerf the road” cause has already made their spaghetti plot reservations two plots wide to escape the upcoming change… so sorta makes it relevant to the topic does it not?

Plot amount of your settlement is the not relevant part, and the post I replied to.

That aside, however, this isn’t really a “plot protection from roads” issue in a case like this. Instead, I’d argue it’s the same issue we have with massive companies these days;
Too big for everyone else who also wants a slice.

In this case though, there’s really no way to rightfully stop it. Though I guess some day seeing an entire planet covered by one person’s plots would be fascinating.

As you said, they’ve already made their areas 2-wide, so it wouldn’t affect them one bit.

A smallfry like me though, we’d be out of luck.

thats the thing… people who settle in Axon are protected…do what you want…there is a lot of free room for all…

That’s…not the point. :frowning:

I was saying the other day…what if we all ( the in entire guild) deleted all are beacons on every ALT. We could take a planet with the current protect reservation.

The fact is some of us have extra % plots due to being sponsor of the game. Most of them have been playing from day 1 since lounge. Quite a few bought plots early on to be able to build what they wanted. Add it all up and you get a lot of people with many plots.

If we don’t learn to live with eachother the Devs better give us each our own planet.

Anyways I am going to take off from this…when certain folks get on they will flag my posts and swerve the topic to their will like always… its a waste of time

Yeah, I’m Wayfarer myself, but every level is still only 10 plots (+25%). :stuck_out_tongue:

I can imagine one’s who have been active for the last year, and played more fervently, would have a ton.
All in all, this is pretty much a no-winners issue.

I’m not sure there could be a Holy Crusade in Boundless. There is no PVP where people die. Also I am not sure but touting religion like using big crosses in game might move into TOS issues. So I do not think anyone wants a holy crusade like in the world’s history.

The interesting thing is a person can be against something 100% and do everything they can to remove those areas from gameplay, but still play the game they are offered until it is changed.

Plot buffers protect settlements. Since the game is never wiping, smaller extended plot buffers Used in very small moderations protect for future expansion of yourself and guild mates and from someone just placing a build or road or hub or whatever to attempt to gain footfall from a great city.

Each of the issues this game has certain contains two sides to the discussion. But never wiping and forcing people to play in such tight confines causes the biggest issue. Especially when two different game plays are forced to interact. Some people love nature and some want prestige cities. So we just have to balance it so both sides get what they want.

Whats with you and server wipes? Why not just pull the plug and call it a day? I mean the population is already small and dying.

Buffers have caused more issues then they remedied. There are no small confines in this game theres just folks with huge amounts of plots vying for the same areas of others with huge amounts of plots. BUT no one wants to move and yet everyone wants to paint the other as the bad guy.

Theres no wipe coming so common sense would dictate if the planet you are on is not living up to your own expectations grab your friends or guild and find one of the other MANY planets that are now unpopulated and start fresh (like a wipe).

I used the buffer system to claim a large area around my base.

I really appreciate the buffer system to allow me to do this. As I have gotten plots from leveling I have been filling it in.

This represents the size of my base that I want to grow to. Would be nice to have the buffer system in place to make it so it is possible.

Sadly , I don’t have an alternative :frowning: . But I appreciate it and what it allows me to do in the game.
