Removing Unnecessary Epics

I still think there should be field generators to keep mobs away

My main page is absolute perfection for building, and happens to include maxed out mining abilities, except I have no stamina, no shadow epic, and no fall armor (which makes no sense anyway but should be fixed). Some things I do are unconventional but smarter than the way most people spec for building. With max damage I can kill high tier mobs but I get one-shot every time, and usually when Iā€™m caught off guard. I canā€™t believe with control 8/8 I still aggro mobs from the range I do.

Thereā€™s no way with those skills that youā€™re building as efficiently as possible. I wouldnā€™t give up one point from my builder page that would compromise my efficiency, considering how slowly my creative juices flow.

I need rage, jump, and a few other things to have a fully complete hunter imo, but I have to leave those things off because I have to waste 8 points for luck (whatā€™s the point of going to a T7 and hunting if I canā€™t get trophies?), the ability to travel to those worlds/atmospheric protections, some defense, etc.

Same with my gathererā€¦I have to have almost the same skill set as my hunter in order to survive an Exo or T7 (even with shadow epic) - but I lose 5pts to being a gatherer.

Yes, the repeated skills.

All 3 of my skill pages have 20 points on atmosphere, 8 luck, 5 attributes, 8 agility, 8 dexterity, light source, and high jump. Then probably 20 more points of overlap from one to the next. Not that theyā€™re all necessary, but I personally canā€™t go without any of them without getting frustrated that Iā€™m suddenly running and shooting slower, going from super muscles to spaghetti arms, and going from being a lightbulb to having to carry gleam around or use a weaker tool with glow.

stealth (control/reach) doesnā€™t help you as a hunter in meteor hunts since it doesnā€™t keep you hidden from those mobs. Dexterity (action speed) is of minimal value to a hunter, you can get by without it, but if you are building towers, walls, etc it is far more valuable. You donā€™t really need hammer skills as a hunter, but they are useful for a builder. thats at least 16 skill points there already.

What do you mean. I need dexterity to shoot my fists and Sling bow faster to compensate for the lag.

But I canā€™t put it on my hunter. Not enough space. And I need a light. Unless they are making that universal.

Boring. Having alts adds variety. Doing it all with one character is a major snoozefestā€¦

If you need a light, put a light/magnet spanner in your off hand. I canā€™t be the only one who does thatā€¦

Or automated slingbow towers to shoot random mobs that get too closeā€¦

glowing loot sticks & potions

Personally, i like the idea of splitting up the skill-tree into 2 parts.

The first part of the skill-tree will be as it is now. Youā€™ll have to choose specific skills to go with specific jobs.

The second part of the skill-tree would be unlocked over time. Letā€™s say these are 5 existing epics, that you can spend 50 (or whatever arbitrary amount) skill points on to permanently unlock.

The main reason for this is that i believe there are a few skills/epics that i find integral in just about any character. For example, planetary protections. Theyā€™re not really profession-related. I have to spend skills on almost every character for this. It doesnā€™t feel like iā€™m specialising.

Iā€™d probably nominate the agility skills (literally any character, whatever profession, benefits from walking quicker), volume crafting (honestly, anybody not crafting mass-crafts after lvl 20 is a thief of their own wallet), falling armour and of course the planetary protections.

Thereā€™s more skills that are pretty general, but most of them only apply to half the professions/uses of character sheets. The permanently unlockable ones should be ones that are universally used on 90% or more of peopleā€™s character sheets.

Iā€™ve found I can get some things done with two alts of different skill sets & on different food/brew buffs working back & forth, thank heck character switching is fast. &keep campfires and beacons & storage chests on hand to pass stuff like location tokens/etc back & forth. the skill limits add an interesting twist that forces some problem solving ā€“ the five page limit is seriously irritating tho

We kind of are as far as I am concerned when it comes to PvE content, Not once have I seen a full hunting group wipe and cause a lost Meteorite because everyone in the group was dead.

So I would argue that yes we are overpowered and need to be nerfed, especially as a group we are quite overpowered

Lol I meant in game lol it just mean I appreciate u lol sry Iā€™m strange

It is strange that solo hunting is that much more punishing then group hunting, because only one player must survive.

Lol youā€™re strange? Try asking what my family thinks of me. Lol.

Right. So I need to be nerfed for T7s right? Right? Cause I am so overpowered that I can survive any meteor on a T7 and up. Right?

Man I get slaughtered. Even on T4 planets. The fall damage is broken with wildstock. I can get one hit killed from elite wildstock even when I am maxed with protection. Iā€™m not asking for more power. I need more options. And donā€™t forget T8. How am I gonna survive that?
