TL/DR; come back to finata the hype train has passed here hehehe
I miss finata, those were the good old days.
What’s happening on Eresho now is what happened on Finata before? That was the reason Ultima city moved to Eresho?
same thing happening to dzassak now, someone trying to get control over it
I came here just to say that; Mega Mall basically popped up outta nowhere, and now it’s just merging everything together.
Right now, I appreciate my buffers surrounding the island I’m building my project on… I don’t want to be eaten by someone’s dang mall.
@DKPuncherello I for one appreciate the buffers. Deeply.
And yet, they are also offering some useful services such as direct portals to high worlds, which saves us the inhabitants of that planet having to make many jumps. Nothing is 100% positive or negative. This is The Market! I do not see so many problems to this, but if there are people who do not like to be forced to merge settlements (which could be considered the conquests to form an empire in this game), I think the best idea is a Locality Book. Like the guild book manage a company or community, the Locality Book manages a group of settlements and beacons… And that the towns, cities, shopping centers, etc. are managed there. I would like that the development line is this.
(sigh) all we are, is all we are. Transcendental animals.
I mean, we already had the connection to TNT through RTG that seemed to get fused with the mall as well. That’s the portal to high level areas I’ve been using since I started playing again over four months ago. :oc
Is it a new portal link, or the same?
Portal to Besevrona Gate, which is a great entrance for high-level worlds, for example. From a T1 to a T5 xD it saves me a lot of time when I’m going to miner in not having to make a detour for other planets …
They are also opening many portals to different shopping centers, which I think is their line of business. From what I have seen, they are focusing on that, on having portals gathered to many different shopping centers and a good selection of stores.
So a city could consist of small pieces spread out all across the planet with no physical connection? Bad idea…
I don’t think I remember saying that the Locality Book should not have the requirement of having the beacons together to be able to join as a locality, xD
I think it is clear that it is a minimum requirement for include settlements as a unit, that is, a Locality: They are united, side by side and without wild space in between.
I dont get all the fuss… if you dont like someone annexing you, build more than him, i did that… some guy came in at my place tried to get the warden of the settlement, i just started building milions of things until one day he left…
But still even if someone does that that is 10 times bigger than me, ill deal with it, until i get powerful enough to out prestige him, the point of prestige is to push ppl to build more, not get you to hate your neighboor and i dont get all of you who take it so personal, if he/she is better than you, more prestige, who cares, just stand your ground, and work up for it… dont be a crying sissy… -_-
Im not talking about rude behaviors and things similar, that is not ok, and i dont support it, but if annexing is a part of the game for so long, can you deal with it already… i really dont get people who just cry about something and dont do anything about it… fight for yourself… not by crying… build stuff, or aproach them and tell them hey fudge off, i dont like you being here… have a character of your own (dont be a d— ofc, dont act like you are above anyone just dont let ppl stomp you) and how you do that? by working on yourself… i mean for real as one of the youngest ones here i have to teach you to stand up and do something about it… cmon
EDIT: This is generalized for everyone, and im not pointing any fingers here… this is just my opinion on the situation
Alright, I’ll just pull 50 million Prestige outta my butt. At least, the mall was 50m by itself last I checked.
Quite literally blew up to over 30 million within a few days when it first appeared.
It’s kinda easier said than done, y’know…
I think you need to read all of it again, i never said you can do it in 2 hours… i said stop crying about it and work on it…
nothing comes over night y’know
EDIT: Just to clarify, nothing pointing at you directly, im just saying in general dont get me wrong im not trying to offend anyone, just trying to get you to realise it is what it is…
I’ve played over four months, and I don’t even have 30 million worth of prestige blocks yet.
I’m not even crying about it, but you’re being extremely unreasonable with what you’re suggesting as a solution here.
Not all of us can toss that much prestige out there, and it’s unreasonable to expect someone to do so if they don’t want to be part of a settlement.
The solution ain’t “stop crying, deal with it”. The solution is giving people a way to refuse assimilation, instead of forcing people to accept it.
Saying “why don’t you just work harder?” to such an extreme degree is incredibly unhelpful.
I understand totally what you are saying, but im playing for a month now, and i have 15 times less than that prestige… and i understand its kinda annoying when ppl just force annex you and all, but you cant do anything about it, and i dont see why would you? Is there anything bad that can happen if you are connected to your neighbors? all it can happen is you having to look at a posibly ugly build until they learn to build properly, and if they know to build, what is wrong there? in the worst case you will still generate some foot fall off of them
Thats what im trying to understand, what are the benefits of being at the top of “prestige chain” in your settlement except naming it? If its only that there is not a single bad thing happening in the whole annexation except of you wanted to build that way, but that can happen even with a rly small build so i dont get the whole frustration about “he is taking my prestige” etc…
I would rly like someone to explain me what bad will happen?
I personally don’t want to see “MEGA MALL” in massive letters every time I go to my place, because it makes my own work feel inferior, while I don’t really get any benefits in the long run.
Im trying to make a themed build, and I absolutely don’t want my build to just be “MALL” and not the Ruins of Rata Rima I’ve been working on in a slow and steady manner.
Thankfully only my shop I’m working on at the RTG hub has been assimilated, and not my island yet. But I will absolutely get demoralised and angry, if I just log in one day and see a tiny road lead to my place in an attempt to leech it.
Ok, so its just your personal feel that its not okay? nothing game exploiting or similar?
If thats so, than you should read what i said earlier again… im not trying to be rude, but there are some thing you wont be able to do anything about for some time, so you just have to deal with it… i know it sounds ignorant but it is what it is, and the sooner you understand that, the better it will be for you…
I’ve read what you wrote, but that’s still not a very positive thing. Forcing people into something they don’t want to be a part of, is wrong.
If you can’t quit a settlement, pretty much nothing would stop people with enough prestige of just deciding what an entire server (planet) is.
I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want an entire starter planet to become a Mall.
For one, it’d most likely really mess with the impression of newer players.
I’d argue its “exploiting” game mechanics to gain ‘power’ through projecting their ‘wealth’ of plots to newer or older players.
Insyead of making a long, spaghetti network of long roads as a mall, I’d argue its far better to grow more or less ‘organically’ , as more stores open up, like Gyosha and Legendville malls have.
Just plotting everything, sucking up settlements, and claiming it all as one mall without even asking the other settlement owners… That ain’t right.
I play this game specifically because of the plots, being able to plot something as mine, and it stays as mine. Sure I am not the best builder, I don’t really use many high prestige blocks, but, I have my little area plotted out to be MINE!. And if the day ever comes where it is no longer my settlement/name, then I might be looking for something else to do.
