The Kindness of Strangers

Adding my two cents here. I consider myself semi new here. Learning the game but still have a whole lot to learn. In getting glue, for me that has been a problem. To get glue you need bones and sap. Sap is easy, cut down trees and you have sap. Glue, a whole other problem. Not good at killing the critters, they generally kill me.

Better now with a iron fist that my son can make, he is a gamer, so knows his way around. I’m taking my time, not concerned with getting all the tools, equipment and such in a week, two or even two months, just playing to have some fun. I’ll get there when I get there is how I see it.
Back to the glue. Took my iron fist and go to various level one planets and hunt places that have a lot of flat areas, lots of the plants that give yams and the desired leaves and can find lots of wildstock. Not the stout ones, the lowest level. One blow with the iron fist and I have a dead critter and if lucky a bone and meat. If real lucky, bone, meat and one or two other items. Not sure what they are for but figure I will find out eventually.

For iron, my son and I go to level two and get a okay amount and on three get a nice amount. Now nice for us may not be nice for someone else. Can’t remember if it was Biitula or Gyosha Ophin but we found between us around 350 to 400, not sure of the exact amount, of iron. On Angel 1 yesterday we got maybe 100 or a bit less of iron but close to 300 in coal and I got almost a hundred bones and my son has more. We spent probably two hours hunting for critter to kill. Found several in the water as they fall in and drown. And my son would shoot at a stout goat while he was across the water and it would run to get to him and drown. For the iron and coal, not sure, we went there mainly for the black rock as my son wants it for his building. I got some to sell to one of the stone stores.
Don’t know if that helps any, but look around at other shops, glue at some are a rip off. As for time, I go like a lot of the others, it’s a game, it is meant to be fun and take your time at getting stuff. Try not to let it get to you.

Just a quick tip on bones, I was in a similar spot my first few days, and felt like I constantly needed bones for glue. Then I did a T3 world meteor hunting trip with 3 other people and I left with several hundred bones. And at this point I have way more bones than I know what to do with and rarely have a large stock of sap. So if you want to go do a hunting trip you’ll find yourself swimming in bones quite quickly(:
As a side note for anyone that doesn’t know/ is interested, a new alt can be quickly leveled by mass crafting stone and at level 14 I had a hunter on a T3 world and by 16/17 he could easily solo T3 worlds. Goodluck!

Yes hes lazy. It was just an example of how quickly things can turn around by doing the correct activity. I was not complaining about my lack of interest in farming sap. Does literally everything have to be negative with you and jiro? Do something constructive with your time.

Your opinion not fact. I find that when I play everyday “most” players are still here.

Let’s get this thread back to its intended purpose describing our random in game moments where we have experienced random acts of kindness or perhaps have carried out one.
Today I have given away some glass to someone I met last week because I remember when we met he was out looking for glass and he showed his place and was building a glass bridge. As I finished my external walls on my build I decided to reach out and give away my excess.
Tomorrow my good deed will be to set up a shop stall and give away some stone tools as I’m now using iron and beyond :star_struck: spread the love people

If you dont want to be put in a box with jiro dont act like jiro. Your comment was not at all constructive, helpful, or positive.
I choose not to farm mass amounts of sap, therefore I rarely have a large stock of it. Am i out if it? No. Am I complaining that I dont have more? No. Randomly throwing your two cents in saying “ur lumberjack is lazy or nonexistent” does nothing to contribute other than you trying to feel good about yourself by assuming (and attempting to assert) that you have more knowledge about sap than someone else.
It would have been much more appropriate to say something along the lines of “making an alt into a lumberjack can make sap farming easy.”
If you’re not going to actually contribute something, why bother posting it?

thx was just gonna say same thing i was shocked to see the close thread thing just clicked to read some cool heartwarming story’s :crying_cat_face:

Guess I’m going to repost my comment since some people here clearly missed it.

“I’d like to play devil’s advocate and say that Jirodyne is still a member of our community, and should be treated as such. Even though (s)he might have differing opinions than the majority of us, we shouldn’t all be ganging up on him/her and publically complaining about his/her negativity. The public forums aren’t a great place to argue, especially not like this. This thread has felt like it’s walking the line of bullying, and it doesn’t sit well with me. Nobody is being straight-up horrible to this player thankfully, but there are kinder ways to go about a conversation, even if you vehemently disagree with another player. (S)he is just as welcome to his/her opinion as the rest of us.”

This goes for every member of our community. We need to realize that everybody here is a real human somewhere in the world. Everyone here has a different, unique perspective on life. I simply wish to see this community treating each other with more kindness. It hurts my heart to see so much anger toward others because of differing opinions.

Does going into a shop and spending 100k Coins on Resources cause I’m lazy count?

Also not a moment in game, but helped a player in this thread earlier today:

Thanks for sharing!
More posts like this are welcome.
As Ninja has said we all have differing opinions so please can we revert back to the tried and tested…if you don’t have anything nice to say then PM each other instead!

Keep it constructive, civil and on topic please. First and only warning.

As promised my good deed for the day, set up a shop stand giving away my stone tools.
Only shovels on at the moment once they run out will top up with other ones I have lying around!
Located on Sorissi Nexus Hub.
Via PS Gyosha Ophin, then head to Kada I, then left to Sorrissi, off the platform far left and third portal from the right.

9 Stone Hammers Free of Charge - come by and collect from shop stand. Nexus Hub directions above.

That is a great idea, my son and I will be setting a shop up soon, not on any hub, just outside our bases, but maybe I can “advertise” by giving away the left over tools I don’t need, stone and copper ones.
Might go and look up players on level one planets and give them some things I don’t need, I don’t see it as enabling, I see it as being neighborly. Which creates good feeling about players and then about the game. Win-Win situation.
