Update: Release Coming Next Week

I’m the same to be honest. I’m terrible at grappling and most of the exos seem to need you to be a grappling pro lol.

I do however care a lot about the unique colors of certain blocks etc., and then there are the rare mats such as rare gems, goo etc. etc. But, I still don’t venture to exos when they spawn, no matter how much I may want these things.

I really look forward to a day when we might have these resources on permanent worlds (except the unique colors of course). At least then I could maybe visit once, establish a plot/base in a good underground area and go from there, much like I do currently on some T6 and T5 worlds.

I imagine this will be possible when T8 planets come out with their own unique resources, thereby allowing T7s to be rented with their resources becoming more permanent. Just speculation of course

never has a post gotten so much attention in such a short time lol

Yea I like the colors but that’s pretty much it. I pay for them tho instead of going myself. Went from 10m to about 300k because of it. but now I can just use sovs as my color source given I’ll have at min 30 days to try and get the colors from them.

I guess we’ll just have to disagree on this one. IMO there’s no more of a gate to get to an Exo than there is to any other T4+ planet. Slap on a skill point, grab a taxi, and there you go. :woman_shrugging:

To be honest, I don’t care for rushing in with a crowd and trying to compete for lucents either. I tend to go in the 1st 20 minutes to explore (if possible) or I wait until the planet is forgotten about (the last day or two) and I usually have the whole thing to myself lol.

and possibly last question from me today:
what determines the coastline, can I pick the type I want ?
(natural or geometric (spirals, or whatever delta has)

Well, when some of us are asking for more Exos to be put into orbit so everyone can have a chance…and some players are fighting it saying they don’t want any Exos at all…fewer Exos hurt everyone’s chances of getting lucents. It’s up to the devs to spawn them though - so that’s not on players at all.

But again it’s gated behind random spawn. Even if exo spawn increased it doesn’t mean it would be lucent. Nor does it mean I’ll be able to get to it during the 4 days it’s up. Not like I can sit at my computer and play all day everyday like some people have the pleasure of doing. I have 3 days a week if I’m lucky that I get to do things other than work.

Assuming you play with mouse and keyboard- you should get a controller for exploring. It’ll change your life.

   yeah probably lol

I think we were suppose to eventually get perm T7+ planets. Don’t know if that’s still the plan. I’m in the same boat - I wasn’t able to get to a few Exos in time - they had resources in colors I would have loved to have :disappointed_relieved:

I’ve tried that. I just can’t seem to be able to get the hang of it. Maybe I’m getting too old for change?

I wonder how biomes you can have per world will it be one biome throughout the planet or can you vary them as i think that would be cool… for my private world im thinking like to do a big build… I was waiting for private worlds to do the Diagon Alley and i think ill still do that if i can have a flat or basic biome but if i can have more then i think ill do my secret build i got planned.

As a member of a very special club, I agree with @FireAngelDth. I hope the devs will eventually add permanent T7 / T8 worlds. The mere fact that exo-worlds are timed and don’t show up again for months somehow triggers me to say “well I’m just not going to care about them one bit”. It’s weird, but in this case, the FOMO effect just doesn’t work with me.

This exo discussion is starting to feel off-topic, but…

I’m brand new, and so far I’m feeling more “this is exciting new territory to explore” than “oh no lets do this before it goes away”. I think that’s the intention, but I completely 100% agree that fomo is more likely for most people.
For me, just having a steady stream of exos, preferably using a controlled system to make sure all exclusive mats occur regularly (a deck system is nice - shuffle the options, deal them out 1 at a time until you see 1 of each, then reshuffle for the next set), and I am happy with the exo limited time stuff. Maybe make sure there are 2-3 of them in the sky at all times to make sure there are options and to spread out the exo explorers.
That would actually do some interesting things to rarity if you have to decide which planets mats to farm too.

But that doesn’t help you if you feel like you lose out when you can’t hit the exo because of work/life/etc.

Have you tried hookshots? Much less to think about… just point and click and zoom, detach about halfway, and try not to die.

I wonder if it will be like “select up to 3 different biome types” - and those will be used to create/populate the planet

For those interested in the fresh designs after Jess added her touch to them!
