A company , abbreviated as co. , is a legal entity representing an association of people, whether natural, legal or a mixture of both, with a specific objective. Company members share a common purpose and unite to achieve specific, declared goals. Companies take various forms, such as:
voluntary associations, which may include nonprofit organizations
It seems the website you quoted can be edited by anybody and has wrong information. Checking the UK company register, there’s is WONDERSTRUCK LTD but it’s in the education business.
In this topic it seems obvious to me that Kirinvar uses word company within a business and, more importantly, existing conversation context. No reason to act a smartarse and call out a perceived mistake/ignorance by using broad dictionary definition that’s listing all possible meanings and uses (and, what’s worse, suggest Kirinvar needs education on the subject).
In a business context of entire conversation Turbulenz is a company, a registered business entity, while Wonderstruck seems to be a name for a group of people working on Boundless but paid by Wonderstruck. And even though Wonderstruck might be registered as non-profit (I don’t know if it is) or any other kind of company, and might come up in business/company searches, it’s clear that Kirinvar means Turbulenz are the company responsible for funding Boundless and if someone wants to find info on what’s going on with the game development and financial future, it’s better he/she looks up Turbulenz.
In general - something that could well be useful (like explaining why you think you didn’t make a mistake by calling Wonderstruck a company), turned into a personal jibe that you made worse with every following post.
We all have bad moments, so no reason to go to war with you or anyone else, but I felt I need to react to this surprising superiority excurse of yours.
Started as a leaving thread, went through future of Boundless and possible state of affairs in Turbulenz kingdom, and then has become a community help thread.
Brilliant example how going off-topic doesn’t have to be a bad thing.
I have a lot of opinions on all of that but keep it to myself mostly lol
(I’m retired and that’s work)
But when interesting ideas come up as a result of the ensuing discourse I don’t mind joining in so much. It’s cool to see how a topic can inspire different trains of thought
its cause people started to reply with off-topic things and it went a bit too much off topic… usually its just like 5 posts… but looking at it its more like 50 posts off topic so.
I understand you @ardele, I wish you and more peple would stay or just leave on a happier note, but it is what it is, sadly I’ll probably join you rather sooner than later.
Or could it be that someone tried to be a smartass and added a bunch of pointless insults only to realize later that they were the one who made the mistake and try to edit out and delete all the insults again?
