What turns you off playing Boundless?

Ok this doesn’t really put me off playing but it does bug the hell out of me,

The amount of energy used by grappling, practically with gem grapples. It always feels as soon as I gain some momentum I’m left huffing hanging from a tree.

And yes I know I can increase my energy with skills but most my builds dont leave enough points for that…

Starberry pie works for this issue

Some gem tools are really bad with energy drain. Maybe you can work out a deal with a forger to supply you with a grapple that has positive(or would it be negative lol) energy drain so that it doesn’t cause you problems. Or have them forge a gold/titanium grapple for you?

I accidentally purchased gem gear in the past where the energy drain was so bad that it took 1/2 my energy bar each time I used it :open_mouth:

Lucent grapples and tools in general use way too much energy. Almost nobody uses them.

Lol I only use lucent grapples. I don’t like lucent hammers tho because they drain too much.

Main thing keeping me and everyone else I played with from coming back to the game right now is the distinct lack of variety. Every planet is made of the same handful of blocks, with the same handful of mobs to fight. Changing colors is not enough to give the game any sort of “variety”, we need at least a better variety of enemies to fight with to help give some life to the planets.

Player owned planets will be nice, and will help solve the resource problems, but by its self isn’t enough to bring us back.

There are more updates to come. This was a big update that needed to happen 1st, to lay the groundwork for future ones.

We’d all like to see furniture, fishing, dungeons, transportation/boats, more creature, more gear, maybe more biomes/plants etc added.

As a mechanic, energy does nothing to “improve” gameplay. All it does is hinder it. I’d like to see energy simply go away. Never was fond of my character moaning, groaning and crying because this stupid bar that depletes with every single action you do is empty. Don’t really understand how that is fun.

Been enjoying the no-energy drain on a creative world.

The character progression and multiple half useful skill pages ie. a crafter that can only do bread but not brews or not even able to survive on all high level worlds without having to sacrifice key skill points.
And once you hit 50+ And full skill pages you still get skill points that are essentially worthless meaning you start a second character from a newb level and gotta work up all over again switching characters to access things you own.
The biggest pain of the game.
Please please please pleaseee
Consider changing Character skill progression and make the game even greater! :v:t3:

What bugs me the most is the low amount of xp and coins for completing objectives and feats, the fact that you cant stack as many buffs as you want and that portals dont have enough room for fuel as if i go on holiday for a week i lose my bigger ones as its only possible to fuel for 4 and a half days and should be able to put at least 5 stacks in portals.

That may be the case, but just yesterday I stumbled upon a giant mall. At first my jaw dropped at how pretty it all was, and it felt like I was in a giant mega mall irl. Then I realized 3/4 of the store shelves are empty, and most of the portals are inactive. It turned out to be a very pretty ghost town. I wandered around for a while and never saw another person. I’ve also come to realize that many shops are just at people’s homes, and it’s hard to know where go. I don’t usually go shopping with an item in mind. I wander and see things that look cool, or find awesome prices on something I wasn’t even looking for.

Is there a way to find an active hub where the stuff is regularly resupplied?

Ever since this website became popular malls became unnecessary, and most of them look the way you’ve described.

I may be biased (because I have a shop there), but I think DK Mall gets the most business.

Where is that? If I can find it, I’ll check out.

Nova Golda Market on Trung but I’m just back from a two month break so my own shops are currently in the process of being restocked. Noms 'n More is almost fully stocked again.

Next up will be my forgery shop tho I might want to redo the layout first before I restock

But there are many other shops too.

Thing with the game is that people can take a break once in a while so then their stores don’t get restocked either

DK Mall is located on Tana VII. It’s kind of hard to miss, as it’s a giant mall floating in the air. There are portals all over the known universe that lead there.

Thank you, I’ll look for it!

Yep if you look for portals marked DK or DKMall or DKTree you should be able to find one easy enough

Games like this need a resource sink, but yeah the energy drain is a weird way to go about it. Id say make food give you glow/magnet or use energy to teleport within the world or even teleport items to reclaim storage or something. Something to make higher tier foods actually useful. As it stands im only using foods for buffs and cooked earthyams for energy
