The recaptcha on that quiz hates me. I can give a good ballpark based on how the quiz was laid out
ESKA would be it for me. If I ever get the quiz to go through, I’ll post actual results

Also Edit: it appears that there’s definitely an issue with social psychology and using a word with such a negative stigma as a classification title. Killer would probably perform better if it were retitled Competitior or something slightly more neutral(suggestions anyone)

Big surprise, I’m a seaker…

Edit: thanx for the link @Havok40k, looks like I’ve changed a bit!

I used to be ESAK, still only 13% killer

It might be about right for people that enjoy MMORPG sandboxes. If the poll were posted on Overwatch or Fortnite forums, all results would start with K (I’d assume). I enjoy killn stuff, but I love skilling and doing other things more. I don’t care to go after fellow players so much. PVM is cool though.

I only say that because it appears there’s a lot of players I would classify as killers when playing the game and going through the forums. Not directly talking about players that like pvp, more about players that like to monopolize resources, markets, planets, so on. Probably more killers out there than achievers, as quiz give doesn’t really cover Boundless exactly and a lot the question just didn’t apply to BL’s current systems. @majorvex

Very true. There are a couple of Qs on there that I didn’t like either answer, but I had to pick one.

At this point, there is almost no line between Killer activity and Achiever activity. Probably explains why things have been so chaotic in so many different fronts. Not mention that there’s very little incentive for Killer type players outside of optimizing Achiever playstyle better than Achievers and plot pvp/market pvp

They’ve effectively created a system where the killer type player are forced to:

Leave the game
Or
Look to Explorer type players for Optimization (which keeps getting removed from the game by buckets and pounds, driving away Explorers, achievers and Killers at the same time)
Or
Skit the lines of the Code of Conduct, participate in market pvp, plot pvp,
in some instances plot extortion
(have been a victim of this for awhile)
Totally fair within the system currently and currently the only outlet for killer type players

Violent games trains a person to be a sociopath. my opinion.

Wow. I can’t even…

Can you elaborate as to what constitutes a violent game or violent activity?

It’s been almost a year since the last one of these I’ve done, let’s see how things have changed…

You are 60% Achiever

What Bartle says:

:diamonds: Achievers regard points-gathering and rising in levels as their main goal, and all is ultimately subserviant to this. Exploration is necessary only to find new sources of treasure, or improved ways of wringing points from it. Socialising is a relaxing method of discovering what other players know about the business of accumulating points, that their knowledge can be applied to the task of gaining riches. Killing is only necessary to eliminate rivals or people who get in the way, or to gain vast amounts of points (if points are awarded for killing other players).

I remember when the Columbine massacre happened… i was hanging out listening to music and playing video games and my mum came over and showed me a newspaper article saying “games like Doom and music like Maryiln Manson are to blame”… and that is literally what i was playing/listening to.

Despite the extensive scientific evidence produced by that media outlet, i have actually managed to avoid killing anyone for about 20 years now. That is a record im pretty proud of, its been tough resisting the irreversible damage violent video games did to my fragile mind. But maybe im just one of the lucky ones.

This would pretty well fit me. I get on communities and forums to learn about the game and interact with others, and share the info I have learned. Not good in the text chat in the game, so don’t talk much there.
Probably would have some thinking I want to kill them also, as my fingers twitch and I have caused my slingbow to go off and look as if I am trying to shoot them.
I like to explore but stay away from the dangerous planets. As I get more confident in how I handle things I will advance up. You can laugh, it won’t bother me but I wouldn’t go to a level 2 alone at first, now run around them fine and will get to where I will be confident on level 3 soon. to advance more than a few steps out. Almost died yesterday when I was looking at items in a open shop and stupid bloqs (cuttletrunks) started shooting at me.
If I had better control over my actions, shooting, movements and not my hand/fingers all of a sudden jerk on me I would advance faster, but it hinders my accuracy and I’m a hinderance to other players in my opinion. I know how well/bad I play.

I dont really think you can be a hindrance in this game the way it is now. You could easily join a meteor hunt and do 0 damage and no one would/should say anything. You can die a million times and it wont matter. I’ve joined many T6 hunts and just hung in the air by my grapple while everyone else kills. (I’m crafting and forging slingbows to eventually be useful though.) But the way the meteor works, the more people that are nearby then the higher level the meteor, so usually the hunters dont mind the people who cant help cuz it just leads to more loot for everyone in the end.

And you shouldn’t worry about what anyone says about how you play because you paid to play just like they did :upside_down_face:
