How is that a waste of time? If it could be farmed infinite 24/7 then there would be no need for the event again.

I will agree its just a game so why is color rarity this important to you? it is certainly not necessary for the economy. There was an economy before exos. There was an economy before gleambow.
It’s not important to me. I have all 255 gleam colours and enough gleambow augments to get more 
But even if I didn’t, I wouldn’t care. It’s just a game. A beautiful game with an awesome community of people who are helpful and nice

Who is talking about gleam? Gleam is just one material and quite frankly if the clearest neutral colored glass was not using black gleam, I believe most players would have no interest in getting black gleam at all. If the developers will come up with a truly clear chiselable glass pane that does not require gleam then that solves the entire issue around black gleam.
My builds are much more than just gleam so my argument is not centered around gleam. I do not build gleam towers (full disclosure I did once in EA the last week before EA ended to use all my cream colored gleam and my apologies to my neighbors at the time). I need the colors in rock, ash, sand, gravel, trunks and foliage. Gleambow and the exos have not provided all 255 colors of any of these items.
Beautiful game? Yes. Awesome community? It was. You may have been luckier in the players you have encountered in game. And the really sad thing is a number of long term players I have played with since EA are seriously thinking of leaving. That is a shame and it is caused in some cases by a lack of respect in where and what other players build and the fact that the game itself is stopping them from being able to build their dream build in the public part of the game. The first part can be addressed through Sovereign planets. the second cannot until players can pick their colors and not be limited to what already exists.
Once again with the blanket black and white statement of “creative mode”. I honestly wouldn’t care if they got rid of gleambow. I find it to be a very boring event that provides casual players with pretty much nothing. At least now it comes with consumables, because you would need to live in game during the event to use it to farm colors.
Yes! That is the perfect way to fix the game, remove more events and stuff to do…and give us all the items available freely…starting to sound less like a game
Fewer and fewer people in game makes it feel like less and less of a game. I know you don’t care about the casual player experience, but there are reasons this game pushes them away. Its better to adjust the game to reach a wider audience than to make the current tiny playerbase happy.
Please do not try and speak for me and say I do not care, you do not know me or the work i put in for the community. I do want the game better for everyone, but i will not ask for handouts and hound the devs who are hard at work coding and developing the game i love. I will suggest what i can to help, and then show support. Not attacks. I respect their final decision, as it is not my business to make those judgement calls that effect their livelihoods.
You see, that’s the point YOU’RE missing. You do the grafting while the event is running. I made thousands of augments without even trying. The colours are rare, but you get plenty of them with T6 gleambows.
Some of the things you’re looking for, you can spray. There are plenty of spray shops with all colours.
And also, this is grown ass adults getting touchy over colour palettes in a game… let that sink in.

I can see where both sides are coming from, but there are indeed some colors that just seem impossible to obtain. (Example: Ashen Gray)
There also things that you can not spray.

This is absolutely not true. Having looked at one point, there is no vivid mustard pigment available, there is no deep azure pigment available. There is not a single spray shop with all 255 colors.

I am not saying we are right or you are wrong, i have said before it would be nice to have things more available. Please do not feel attacked or discouraged yourself. <3 It is still good to voice constructive criticism. I will just continue to give logical reasoning to justify the developers decisions until they decide to change their minds.
I’m not upset in any way, shape, or form. I’m also fully aware the developers do not have the capabilities to develop content quickly. I love boundless, I just don’t like it right now. 3 years is a long time to wait for something to see it be stifled due to player loss and bandaid fixes.
Edit: I would refer to myself as simply disappointed.
Again, it’s about making an effort. Make your own goo farm and get the pigments yourself 
I can understand that, and i am sure almost everyone has felt that at one time or another.
My main thing is, the devs read all the comments, and i know it has to hit them hard alot of the time how people talk about their work and time and dedication. So I’ll try to take the attacks directly for them, and argue in their favor in ways they cant speak to the community, respectfully.
That is laughable. . so I need to try and get goo to migrate to a specific color which could take multiple steps when they are not even a sustainable crop so I can paint 10s of thousands of blocks? That is just more frustration when the goo does not turn out the right color or I get even less of a harvest due to rng. If I was playing the game to be a masochist then this would be perfect. I play the game for entertainment and to interact with friends, Not to do nothing but farm goo for two years and then maybe have enough to start a build. Why would I want to do that? I do not mind mining and crafting for what I need, but when there is no reasonable way to get it then screwdriver it.
The entire goo farming is a disaster anyway.
Then what’s all the fuss? Have fun and interact with your friends.
Just saying, there is a way to get what you want. Just takes effort (with the exception of grass)
