Tell me please, why are you so reluctant of giving Footfall coin

i Suppose I haven’t looked into minting specific things against time/cost. But I’ll certainly check that out, thanks! :v:t3:

Remember you get XP for all that time too. And stone doors has no cost other than repairing the tables. Can’t remember if slide needs spark.

someday my dungion build will be done and this is exsactly what the lower levels will be for… with a reword at the end of course… if you can make it

Reviver brews are your friend lol

Well with placeable lava and a very low ceiling this could get interesting

It really does.

As @FireAngelDth already mentioned, easily crafted items are your best friend here.

This. . .

This is the greatest problem with footfall and why people probably avoid certain places. I love giving my coin to an active economy. I hate giving my coin to a selfish player who only cares about status.

Once I see a road switch names 3 times, I step off of it. Gaming a system gets rid of the syptoms of a problem, but hides the actual issues. If we need more taps, we need to show the system to the devs how its designed to work instead of warping it to fill gaps.

Actually, it often costs me time, and I’m less reluctant to give footfall than I am regretful that I’ve rewarded the offenders.

I like to farm large fossils when i go to exo planets, they are abundant.

The word “TRAP” is what is interesting here. Trap has a negative connotation and implies that it’s against your will. Calling it a “trap” is wrong.

They don’t have a lot of stuff to spend it on and guild buffs are kind of pointless for the most part. It isn’t necessarily a player just sitting on coin for the heck of it. I bet a lot of those people have nothing to spend it on. Heck, I don’t even have millions of coin and I don’t spend it on much of anything since there’s absolutely no point.

Rich players aren’t the problem in this game.

Why does how other people choose to play offend people so much. Alot of the sentiment I find on the forums seems to be people attempting to shame players for not playing the game how they think it should be played. Let people play how they like, most especially when it litterally costs you nothing to do so. Just because your sensibilities are offended does not mean its an issue.

People seem to have this idea that there is a finite amount of coin in the game but that is untrue. Coin is generated from thin air from the minter, footfall and from tasks. The only time coin goes poof is from tax, warping and guild buffs. Saying players should feel bad for holding onto their coin reeks of socialist thinking. He has to much and I have to little GIMME.

Nothing exists in a vacuum and people can appreciate or dislike an avenue. Footfall systems (co-op, footfall slides ect) require participation and connections with the player base.

Sometimes these connections are required. Jacey does a hunt but before it starts you go through a series of footfall slides. (There may be another way to get there, just the way I have seen)

Co-ops require recruitment and participation which causes them to come up in forum threads and conversation. Also, a co-op will do better the more people that go to it, so members can try to drive people to their co-op plot.

Personally I have no problem with the idea of a slide or a co-op…except they aren’t fun.

Footfall isn’t fun. It isn’t fun to afk on a slide 3 times a week or run through plots just to generate coin. It is boring.

As a player it feels like a job. So when someone asks me to go through their slide or visit their co-op it feels like a chore I don’t want to do.

Conversely if a plot has something of value (gleam farm, flower farm, hubs, malls) then I am going there for a service and generating footfall as a bi product. I don’t mind that at all.

Just my personal opinion. I am no one important and everyones entitled to build whatever they want. Since the topic is why, thought I would share my 2c.

If this was the case. I’d be rich from all the souls I’ve taken.

That’s not exactly what I was getting at.

We need more items in the game across early, mid, and late that allow players in all progression levels to feel that incentive to want to buy that item or items they want because it will save them the time.

It would be a much different discussion if we had 3000 items. Hard to disagree with that.

I didn’t say rich players were the problem, I was explaining that players sitting on so much coin do nothing for the economy. Perhaps players with so much coin could run a large shop. A lot like Alu Tech for example. That guy quite clearly has a lot of coin, but constantly has millions in request baskets so that players are able to sell items to make money. Whilst running a store selling the items he buys.

Simple economics.

A player with a lot of coin has zero obligation to do that. Not everyone with millions wants to run a shop.

Footfall really seems to be the marmite of this game; people either seem to love it or hate it.

I’m fairly ambivalent on the whole thing (i’ll eat marmite if desperate…) but I certainly don’t begrudge anyone footfall coin, and if they have devised a clever way to gain ff, that doesn’t hinder my progress (!), then good for them. The only reason I won’t run across a build is because there is a wall in there way.

I did set up several beacons with alts at my hub a while back, as an experiment, just to see if I could generate income (portals have cost) and I have made a little scratch but doesn’t really contribute much to the running of the hub…a tiny percent compared to my shop and minter income.
With the introduction of the minter, I’m a little puzzled as to why footfall is still such a concern for the average Oort, for either those for it or against it.
The rest of my build is mostly on a single beacon (27mill out of 30mill)

If the dev’s decide to tighten the system up or get completely change how it works or even get rid of it, then I’m perfectly fine with that. Would feel bad for other players who don’t have an alternative method of income or for those expensively run planet hubs though…
