Saved this for others to reference… at this point I pretty much have everything memorized but the quirk list is cool… the bouncy quirk could be really useful I bet… I mean, you could jump off a mountain and just bounce at the bottom, right? Handy

Kinda crazy that we gone this long w/o a quirks and defect resource. I don’t know how forgers have managed up to this point!

After reading through the list of quirks, I don’t get the point to them. They’re basically a lighter version of defects. If quirks are to be present, then why not give them an extra buff when used in that specific scenario? That way, it becomes balanced.

Yeah agree with this and another poster who said similar recently. They are just defects under another name and I will continue to avoid any process involving a chance of them, which leaves ingredients under-utilized. They should have a chance of being at least neutral (cosmetic or harmless) if not positive, or they are just another list of defects. Also means you can get six negative traits versus three positive which seems very silly.

You take fall damage just jumping normally with the bouncy quirk. I wouldn’t suggest trying to jump off a cliff, unless death appeals to you.

I wonder what the ice quirk + the jump quick would be like on an equip…

One thing to note is that compared to defects, it takes a ton more quirk points to make a potential quirk permanent. I use several draining boon compounds on everything I forge and almost never get stuck with one. Quirks tend to add several potential ones rather than stack on the same one so if you space out the draining boon 1 and never have a ton of points on the slider, you’re pretty safe.

Ah, my comment is now out of date. The quirks are now worth including in your forge process (if you want) and less risky to use ingredients that give a chance of adding one. Thank you though. :slight_smile:
